Description

Herringbone Webbing

A good traditional cotton and flex webbing very strong and recommended for use under double-cone springs.

Scrim

A high-quality jute scrim for traditional upholstery, used to stitch horsehair. Good straight weave.

Lacing Cord

This traditional type is used for lashing (tying) springs.

Skin Wadding

A fine, traditional cotton wadding. Use between the calico and the top fabric. Needs to be doubled when used as the only barrier over hair. Can be unfolded and folded in the other direction to create more width.

Horse Hair

100% horsehair. Used for traditional upholstery work.

Jute Webbing

A medium quality webbing, used on seats and backs of upholstered furniture.

Coconut Fibre

Natural product 100% coconut fibre is used in traditional upholstery work. An alternative to horse hair.

Dacron Polyester Wrap

This is like a synthetic cotton wool in a sheet form. It can be used at its thinnest as a skin wadding between lining and top fabric, or over foam furniture before applying the top fabric. Its main use is as a wrap over foam cushions; the thicker the wadding, the softer the look and feel.

Calico (100% cotton)

A good-quality calico, approximately 160cm wide. Used to line traditional upholstery. Helps to keep the dust out of pad and prolongs the life of the upholstery. Also gives a better finish to your work.
