Leather dyeing has a lot of advantages. Some of these advantages is that if a leather chair seat is torn and is beyond repair, we can use new leather and colour match it to the old coloured leather that is on the back of the same chair.
Another advantage is out of new leather which is still strong and durable, we are able to make it look old and worn but with the benefit of the matching the leather to an old frame. An example of this is seen on the right, in the image of an old 1800s Australian Colonial arm chair.
